A few weeks ago on a beautiful sunny day, with gas can in hand, I pulled out my lawn mower with the intention of mowing my lawn for the first time this year. As I took off the gas cap, and began filling the tank of my Craftsman mower, I realized something was amiss. I noticed as the gas went into the tank...it continued through the other side, gushing out onto my weather beaten lawn! Now I am not a mechanic by any means, but I quickly came to the conclusion that this was not a good thing! Evidently today was not the day for me to mow the lawn! I immediately assessed the situation and determined that I would put the lawn mover back under the deck and revisit it another day.
As the weeks went by and my lawn reached new heights, I knew this was not something I could avoid nor handle on my own...I had to consult an expert, bring in a big gun. After a brief consultation with my 83 year old neighbor he directed me to the local small engine repair shop. With a smile on my face, I promptly manhandled my mower into the back of my SUV and quickly drove off in anticipation of resolving my issue.
One hour and forty three dollars later, I completed the task I had set out to do over one month ago. I had a sense of accomplishment and pride as I gazed out on my freshly mowed lawn.
In business I have also found that solutions are not always immediately apparent for every issue as it presents itself. Sometimes shelving a challenge provides you with an opportunity to determine your best course of action. Consulting an expert or hiring out what you yourself cannot do, makes it possible for you achieve your intended result.
May your grass always be green!
Cheers!

Racking Up the Frequent Flier Miles
Perhaps a "Frequent Flier" does not adequately describe Heather O'Brien's travel schedule, I would refer to her as a "Constant Flier"! After a 9 day WLS Seminar, she spent approximately 24 hours at home before she flew down to San Diego to present at a Home Loan Modification Event. HLP continues to pack the house with their informative Loss Mitigation Seminars, how they do it I'll never know!
Now honestly, that doesn't seem so earth shattering, but that is only the beginning of her incredible summer travel schedule! From San Diego she will fly directly to Ireland for 10 days, upon her return, she will hit the ground running attending a variety of Co-Brander events and trainings held across the continental United States! Some people hit the beach, but not our Heather, she hits the sky!
You might ask, where is the rest of the MPF Team? Well Alan and myself tend to shy away from crowds and have decided to lay low in Santa Clara this summer as we continue to build our team and grow the business.
How do you intend to grow your business this summer?
Cheers!

Making it Over the Hump!
If you want to create something wonderful in your life, if you truly want to make a big change, you've got to learn to tolerate the "in-between" time. That's the period in which we let go of who we know ourselves to be in order to allow for the possibility of who we might become.
Cheers!

Continuing the journey Through Jubilant June
We have all just turned the corner and begun our journey into Jubilant June with just a taste of what is has to offer. Have we hit the bottom of the market? Are our investments safe? What lies ahead?
I too have the same questions and have searched high and low on the internet, media and other places for answers. Unfortunately, as in life, it depends on who you ask as to their answers and predictions. One source says we are well on our way to recovery, while another says the worst is yet to come. Depending upon the answer you seek, you can find the decision and data to back it up.
My advice is to trust your instinct. As with anything in our lives we design our reality with our words and our actions. If you believe the worst is yet to come, than it is..however, if you move through our current economy with a plan and tools to assist you with success, than the best is yet to come.
Whatever resists persists! Keep a positive outlook and success will be your only outcome!
Good luck on all of your ventures and may your challenges become opportunities!
Cheers!

Change- Turning the Corner into Jubiliant June
Change.....one of the concepts Obama ran on that catapulted the nation from lackadaisical to engaged. He brought those who previously were unattached from our nation's leadership into a sense of community and ownership. People jumped off their couch in response to his message.
Change...in business can take you one step forward or two steps back, depending upon your acceptance and attitude. We at MyPropFolio have experienced the "Mad Money Month" of May and embrace change as it transforms our company to new heights. We welcome new key players and know that with change comes new possibilities!
Change...in one's personal life can at times bring uncertainty, empowerment or push us out of our comfort zone moving toward our destiny.
I hope as you turn the corner from spring into summer, your business, revenues and family life bring you towards our ultimate goals ...and happiness.
'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - cocktail in one hand - chocolate in the other- body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO,What a Ride'
Enjoy your "Jubilant Journey" through June!
Cheers!
